Story
After purchasing a California bungalow to secure his son's future, an Iranian immigrant named Behrani finds his plans challenged by the home's previous owner, Kathy. Having lost the property due to a flawed legal error by the county, Kathy is left homeless and determined to reclaim her residence. She seeks assistance from a lawyer and forms a bond with a local police officer to fight for her rights. Because both parties acted within the law, they become trapped in a complex moral conflict, with neither side willing to surrender the property that represents their only hope for stability.
