Naked Lunch

Exterminator Bill Lee and his wife, Joan, spend their time abusing pest control chemicals alongside a circle of Beat poets. Their reality fractures when Bill encounters the sinister Dr. Benway and begins consuming a potent substance derived from a giant centipede. Following a tragic accident that claims Joan's life, Bill finds himself in a strange, transformative Mediterranean metropolis. Here, he receives bizarre instructions from a talking, insect-like typewriter and discovers that his acquaintances have circulated literary works he has no recollection of creating. This disorienting journey blurs the lines between hallucination, criminal investigation, and the act of artistic creation.
